Obituary

O’Connor, Georgia J. And though she be but little she is fierce.
Age 83, of Wayzata, passed away in the
early morning hours of 11/4/2020 at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park.
Georgia was preceded in
death by her parents, Fred & Marie Williams; husband, of 54 years, Bob O’Connor; sister, June, and
brother, Fred.
Survived by children, Shawn and Pat (Deidre); 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Georgia was born in Minneapolis, attended the Academy of Holy Angels, and worked for the Wayzata
School District for over 20 years.
In the last 3 years of her life Georgia bravely faced more than one
medical crisis including an aortic aneurism, lung cancer, and kidney failure.
Georgia was blessed to have
so many amazing caregivers during this time. The family would like to thank Bobby and Shawnee
O’Connor, Dr. Kendra Kubiak and her nurse Sadie at Frauenshuh Cancer Center, Dr. Jesse Manunga at
Abbott Northwestern Heart Hospital, the many nurses and doctors at Methodist and Abbott
Northwestern hospitals, Dr. Andrew Esten and the staff at Fresenius Kidney Care in Golden Valley,
Derek, Gladys, and Lucy at The Birches at Trillium Woods, the staff at Chapel View Health Care Center in
Hopkins, and the staff at Interlude Restorative Suites in Plymouth.
A celebration of Georgia’s life will be
held at David Lee Funeral Home, 1220 Wayzata Blvd E, Wayzata, on Saturday 10/23/21.
Visitation from
10:00 – 11:00, a service from 11:00 – 11:30, and a luncheon from 11:30 – 12:30, followed by her burial
at Summit Park Cemetery in Wayzata.

will be livestreamed.
